My nephew, Clayton, got married yesterday and officially made Selena a part of the family! It was the most beautiful day for two people who are so loved.

Greetings loved ones!

I am a victim of the no posting/lack of social media presence person. I have been blessed to stay quite busy so I have left this area lacking. As much as I'd love to post and interact more at this time the best I can come up with is a Quarterly Newsletter exclusively for my amazing clients/admirers!

Hey, Hey November!

I have been working on Re-Branding WJP. I am excited to take this business into new heights and cannot wait to share more in January! Until then, I shared my first Client Newsletter a few weeks ago. Dreams don't come true unless we pursue them . . .

I keep a notepad (well several) of ideas and drawings of things that pop into my head for photography. This has been at the top for years now and I realize that it'll never happen unless I start it!

While I truly love every type of photo session I do in their own way, Senior Photo Sessions rate at the top! I've been blessed to be able to work with the local schools in our community for years and get to know a lot of sweet and very bright teenagers! My prayer when starting this business adventure was to allow God to use my talents to always be able to give back. I am humbled when anyone ever inquires for me to take their photos and I'm always honored. Community is very important to our family - we LOVE Hampton county! But, for this you don't have to be from the area - really the only requirement is that you are a current High School Senior!

2024 is the year that WJP Senior Reps are born! My vision is A LOT in my head but the basics are: collaborate with other Seniors in group sessions, make new friends, have a model-like-experience locally, get 3 photo sessions for the price of 1, anddddddd laugh with/at me!

After a few months off I’m back with a photo deep from the vault that means so much 🤍.

📸PHOTO OF THE WEEK📸

This picture depicts three generations of Farmers. The regret of not recreating this one will always squeeze my chest. Lockwood would be the one towering over his Papa. And on a lighter note my husband would have been so happy to have the photo with a green tractor instead of that red one. But, none the less this is one of my all time favorite pictures I’ve ever had the pleasure to take.

We lost this amazing man back in March.

He lived a simple but extraordinary life and I’m so thankful I was a small part of it. We all called him Papa. I rarely called him Mr. BL. It felt strange to refer to him as that. He was a proud Papa! The first time I went to Sunday dinner at their house we all knew his love for Brittany, that’s the day he became Papa. Then comes Lockwood and Emerson and that was all he wrote. SMITTEN with his boys. He had all sorts of nicknames for the boys and no doubt or shame whatsoever to spoil them daily!

I often describe grief as waves in the ocean, sometimes big and overbearing. And sometimes gentle and calm. Today, looking at this picture I think we can also describe it in farming terms. Like the uncontrollable weather and environmental obstacles farmers face - out of their control - is grief. But, like the man pictured here, my husband is a good farmer and he can and will overcome!

Thank you to everyone for your love and prayers for Doug, his Mom, and our kids. It’s still a journey we none wanted and appreciate the continued support.
