Tonight, as Coach Leamon put it: “I came home” ♥️ “Home” to where it all began. I started coaching at FBA in 2007. I was a newlywed, college sophomore. My girls and their families came to our house warming party in 2009 when we bought our first house. We had Christmas parties, graduation parties, celebrations and even heartbreaks. We did life together. Caleb was born in 2011 and I was still coaching there. My girls and their families had a baby shower for me. Caleb would come to practice and watch the cheerleaders (he hates me saying that now btw 😂). He crawled around practices, football and basketball games. We all cried at my last football game in 2012 (well the girls didn’t know yet but I did) - which was the State semi-final game btw! Nothing like cheering in South Miami one night and competing at UCA Regionals in Daytona the next morning 🫣🤪 all while 3 months pregnant with morning sickness. Ha! My last basketball game, and last competition were also bittersweet. I loved just about every moment (but let’s be real, 11 years has definitely given me rose colored glasses) and have a special place in my heart for FBA. I’m so glad I know and have great relationships with people still there. It really does feel like “coming home” in a sense. But just to visit, because we’re ALL IN at SFCA. Well, except this weekend when we’ll put on red again for Elle’s state cheer competition with ECS 🫣😂 Gosh, we are all over the place. 🤪 Anyways. Swipe to see Caleb with his first grade AWANA teacher///current FBA Varsity Cheer Coach tonight and then back in 2018 ♥️♥️ Should’ve gotten pictures with his “nursery buddies” who were there but alas, these preteens are too quick for mama and her camera. 😉
