One of my favorite things about photography is helping women see themselves the way the people who love them already do.

Some stories deserve to be told exactly as they are.

These photos are a beautiful reminder that love is not measured by grand gestures, perfect poses, or youthful energy. Sometimes, love looks like a gentle kiss on the forehead, a hand that has been held for decades, and a look that says, “I’m still choosing you.”

When this sweet couple reached out to me, mobility was a challenge. Walking was difficult, standing for long periods wasn’t possible, and traditional posing simply wasn’t realistic. But that’s the beauty of photography, it’s not about perfect poses. It’s about preserving real moments.

What mattered most to them wasn’t creating a flawless portrait. They wanted to document the love they have built together through the years. The quiet affection. The comfort. The friendship. The unwavering commitment that only time can create.

Somewhere between being a little girl and becoming a young woman. 🤍

My beautiful daughter reminded me during this session just how quickly time moves. One minute they’re tiny, and the next they’re growing into their own person with their own confidence, emotions, personality, and style.

As a mother and photographer, I truly believe it is so important to photograph our children through every stage of life, not just during the big milestones. These moments pass quietly and quickly, and one day these images will mean everything.

I don’t just want to take photos of your children. I want to preserve who they are right now 🥺 the expressions, the personality, the little things you never want to forget.

Confidence is not reserved for a certain size, shape, or season of life.

You do not have to change yourself to be worthy of being photographed beautifully. You do not have to wait until you look a certain way to feel elegant, confident, and seen. True beauty is not found in perfection, but in presence, poise, and the quiet confidence that comes from embracing yourself as you are.

Recently, I had the opportunity to step in front of the camera myself, and it reminded me just how vulnerable that experience can be. Even as a photographer, it was not easy. Like so many women, I carry insecurities too. There are always things I could overanalyze, reasons I could give myself to wait, and parts of myself I am still learning to see with grace.

That experience deepened my understanding of what my clients feel when they stand in front of my lens. Portraiture is about so much more than looking beautiful. It is about trust. It is about allowing yourself to be seen. It is about discovering that you do not need to become someone else to be worthy of timeless, refined imagery.

My role as a photographer is not only to create beautiful photographs, but to guide you through an experience that leaves you feeling confident, comfortable, and elevated. My hope is that you leave with more than images. I want you to leave with a renewed sense of confidence in your own skin.

Resurrection Sunday. A day to remember that the tomb is empty, death was defeated, and our Savior lives. Jesus Christ is risen, and because of Him, we have hope, mercy, and new life. ❤️
