hey guys! it’s been quite some time since i have posted onto this instagram, and i just wanted to start off by wishing well to everyone reading this right now. Life is really crazy, and events and different situations are super uncertain but i hope you’re finding peace in this time of limbo.
secondly i would love to give a little bit of back story, so as some of you know i moved to the great city of Austin, Texas back in September of 2019, and absolutely love it here. its been super rewarding to find a full time job after graduating from college a year ago TODAY (woot woot) but one thing that unfortunately has taken a back seat is the thing i LOVE the most. that being photography— it’s not that i don’t still actively photograph everyday, i just became burnt out posting on social media about it everyday.
i am lucky enough to have been hired on as well with an awesome Austin based start up called as a freelance photographer, & also working in art direction and doing editorial photo shoots with creatives throughout Austin under my own brand.
but i am still working on creating a super committed clientele here in Austin, like i had in New Mexico, for the commercial work i love to do which is weddings, elopement, engagement, and graduation photography.
working full time, and doing all of these things has made it super difficult to find a balance, but one thing i am GAINING from living in a different city during a pandemic is TIME. i am able to evaluate where my passions exist and they’re in spaces where i build connection and community through my work. i am grateful for how patient and supportive y’all have been with me through this transition period. •
lastly i would like to say i will be visiting New Mexico in the coming weeks and i will be posting dates here for photo shoots. we would go about them using the proper guidelines and procedures under corona virus. this is also an open invitation to those in ATX as well for the foreseeable future.
