Soaking up the island life with some friends on Isla Vieques!

Some new friends and I soaking it up an a nearly deserted stretch of beach on Isla Vieques off the coast of Puerto Rico. This island was an absolutely paradise. Gorgeous beaches everywhere, wild horses wandering everywhere, amazing snorkeling all around the island, and cheap. delicious. cocktails!

One of my favorites from my time back in NY last fall! Just submitted for a competition and thought I'd share. :)

Here's one of my favorites from my time back in NY last fall. I just submitted it for a photo competition being run by the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association and thought I'd share it with you! I have two other favorites from last fall that I also submitted and will posting later this week, so st…

Now don't get me wrong, I love Rochester, NY for many reasons: in a sense it's the idea of home for me with lots of friends and family and associated with so much of my childhood, and it's a great small city that has a lot of great restaurants and summer festivals that keeps you busy and entertained…

As the drought drags on here in the Southwest I find myself longing for lush green landscapes more and more. One of the most interesting and unique things about photography, that I enjoy so much, is that even the most mundane and unremarkable things can come to life with the right angle, color, and…

I think one of the coolest things in the world is drift wood. Wood itself is one of the most beautiful mediums to work with and use in everything from art to architecture. Add to that the weathered and gritty look, yet smooth sanded feel that comes from being soaked, churned up, and spit out on some…

Found this gem, an early '50s Chevy 3100 Pickup, walking the streets of Montour Falls, NY one afternoon. I've passed by this sleepy, little town dozens of times on the way back and forth from Naples to Ithaca and never once stopped to walk around. But, I'm glad I did this time! From the biggest cit…

Summertime WooOooo!!!! Get out there and dive into this weekend head first! A pelican looking for an afternoon snack gets vertical on this dive into the turquoise clear waters off Flamenco Beach, Culebra, Puerto Rico.

Best view in town!

I was fortunate enough to catch one of the very seldom tours of the lighthouse that sits atop El Castillo San Felipe Del Morro one afternoon and what a view it was! The castle itself commands a spectacular view of the old town and the bay of San Juan, so getting to go up an awesome spiral staircase…

Here's a shot from the infamous Flamenco Beach on the stunningly gorgeous Isla Culebra just off the coast of Puerto Rico. It's been rated one of the top 3 beaches in the world and before getting there I thought it was going to be a whole bunch of hype and over-run with snobby tourists that read abou…

Putting it all on the line. If you're going to have the liquid bravery it takes to get in the ring with an animal that weighs as much as your car, you better make sure you haven't had too much liquid courage to give you the lazy legs! True Bravery or Liquid Bravery? Either way, this guy put it all o…
