Serious question: How many pilots who aced the written can actually explain what’s happening on this chart and what it means for tomorrow’s flight?

Weather theory matters kids.
Ignore this and the weather will end up teaching you the lesson. And that never ends well.

This is one of the best things you can do in a Cub, or any airplane really, but especially once that have solid, slow speed handling.
Get it as slow as you possibly can and then start cranking in a turn until you can barely maintain altitude without stalling. It takes a lot of precision, but you’ll learn a lot about operating at the bottom end of the envelope. Plus, people on the ground will look up and think “ what the F are they doing up there?”.
