This past October I was able to visit and tour Dachau Concentration Camp in Germany. To say this was a humbling, moving and eye opening experience is an understatement.
The Dachau concentration camp was the first regular concentration camp established by the N**i regime in March 1933, shortly after Adolf Hi**er became Chancellor of Germany. Located near Munich in southern Germany, it served as the prototype and model for all subsequent N**i concentration camps, including its organization, routine, and brutal punishment

The sign on the Dachau concentration camp gate reads "Arbeit macht frei", a German phrase that translates to "Work sets you free". The meaning of the sign was a deliberate and cynical form of N**i propaganda designed to deceive prisoners and the public
