I have so much to share from Jack and Sydney’s session, but I just had to share the most exciting part first.
Back in May, Jack and Sydney reached out about one of my model calls, and as soon as Jack told me they were interested, I knew they were exactly what I was looking for. What Sydney didn’t know, though, was that Jack had something more in mind.
Shortly after we made plans for the session, Jack reached out and told me he was planning to propose and wondered if he could do it during their session.
To say I was excited when he asked me to capture such an important moment between the two of them would be an understatement.
A couple of years ago, shortly after they started dating, Sydney came to Nebraska for a weekend while Jack was working here. We joked that he threw her to the wolves that day, but she fit right in.
We had known Jack for years before that, so seeing the way he looked at Sydney that weekend was different. After she headed home, Clayton and I looked at each other and said the same thing.
“We could see Jack marrying this girl.”
So the second Jack filled me in on his plan, I couldn’t wait to tell Clayton. He was already planning to come along and help with the session, which made it even more fun knowing we’d both get to watch everything unfold.
Getting to see the two of them a couple of years later and being trusted to capture the moment we had talked about all those years ago is something I’ll never forget.
Jack pulled off the surprise perfectly. Sydney had absolutely no idea what was about to happen, and her reaction was everything.
