Long overdue update!

First I would like to take the time to thank each and every one of my clients and followers for your support. I realize that I have been MIA for a while now, with promises of a huge update that never happened and I now owe you that update.

To start, in February 2020, I decided to go back to college. Some of you know, that my college background, I am a registered nurse. I got my associates degree RN and took a break from nursing when I moved to El Paso. I have a love of both nursing and photography, as both allow me to use different parts of my brain. They both also have allowed me to work with children which I love. For a long time I wanted to go back to college to work on my BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing) and had made the decision to do so right before the pandemic hit. I had plans to continue my education online and continue my photography career, then whamo Covid. My business came to a screeching halt so I was able to focus on college while my children were also home doing school work. Wow, what a challange that was! My plan was never to stay in Texas, and my big announcement was that I was going to be leaving Texas to relocate back to Alabama. When the pandemic hit and travel restrictions were put into play, I had no idea what that meant for my move or my business so I held off making that announcement. In June 2020 when the travel restrictions were lifted, I packed up house, and moved from El Paso back to Alabama in 10 days! There was no time for an announcement, I barley got packed in time to go. I was in school full time, and life was crazy. I got back to Alabama and continued in school, and I started back to work as a nurse. All my time in El Paso I felt awful for not working and doing my part to assist in the pandemic. Little did I know that my break from nursing while in Texas, going to college full time, and starting back to work in the middle of a pandemic would be more then I bargained for. l pushed through and in February 2021 I finished my BSN and was at least able to get a break from school. in April 2021 I came down with covid. I was a lucky one, I felt awful for about two weeks, and then felt bad for about 4 more, but I am here and grateful that I am still here to write this to you all. In July 2021 I decided to start grad school for a masters in Population Health, so here I am back in college full time, again.........

My plan is to get reopen my photography business, however, right now that is on hold. I am hoping to be back in business by Spring 2022. If you are in the Alabama/North Florida area I will be looking for models to update my portfolio in the area until I can get my business legal here in Alabama. I will miss all of my Texas customers, and who knows if you are ever in the area look me up!

If you have gotten this far, bless you! I appreciate all of your support in my business, and I am looking forward to my new adventures!

The Big Announcements are FINALLY here. Some of you have already picked up on this one, as I have gradually been adding in changes. Not only do I have a new logo, but today is the launch of my new website, www.lucylanephotography.com. With the help of Ashely from https://www.themakerbrandco.com My business is reopening with an all-new design and logo, so head on over and check it out!

Along with that new website comes big changes. Not only do I have an all-new look, but I have added in session guides. These are guides that let you know what to expect from the time of booking to your final photo selections. There is also a section included to help you dress your entire family!

And for the final announcement............

Lucy Lane Photography is relocating! My time here in Texas is coming to an end and I am headed back to Alabama! I will be reopening my shop there along with going back to work as a nurse.

My current plans are to take customers here in Texas until Mid June, so for everyone that has been waiting, now is the time!!

I want to thank all of you that have supported me through my business, and to all the clients that have turned friends. I did not realize how many families I have photographed here in El Paso, until I was looking for photos for my website.

Thank you all, and I look forward to seeing many of you before I leave!

Much Love,
Cindy
