Atlas has traveled through 31 states and 3 Canadian provinces.
He’s walked catwalks with Marines, wrestled whoever found him first, and napped in company offices like he owned the place.
He chased crabs at night.
Pulled a longboard like a pro.
Paddleboarded in Quebec on the largest meteor impact site in the world.
Camped in remote places without hesitation.
Fished in Wyoming.
Scaled rocks like it was nothing.
He knew left. Right. Slow down. Stop.
He would howl at exactly the treat he wanted.
And when she’d say “systems check,” he’d lean into her hands, offering each paw, huffing if she took too long.
He made constant eye contact.
Always checking on her.
Always choosing to be wherever she and her sister were.
He didn’t need much.
Just them.
He will pass this month at 8 years old.
She said his end feels like a beginning — because after years outdoors together, she’ll find him in every breeze, every sunrise, every sunset.
This is why legacy sessions matter.
Not just to remember them.
But to honor the life they lived beside us.
