Pink Ladyslipper, also known as Stemless Lady's-slipper, Moccasin Flower. Unlike the Ram's-Head Ladyslipper with its fingertip sized flower, the Pink Ladyslipper flower can be up to 2.5" long. Stop and look along just about any forest road in Northeast MN and you will find Pink Ladyslipper Orchids. Photographed 6/6/2026, Superior National Forest north of Ely, MN.

Hard to believe I haven't posted here since February. But, it's orchid season in northeast MN! These are Ram's-head Ladyslipper orchids, the smallest of MN ladyslipper orchids, each flower is about the size of a fingertip. These orchids are hard to find, and they are beautiful!
