To say that tonight was absolutely incredible would still not cover things. Our friends Hairball invited us to Cass Lake for the evening to honor my dad as a part of their veteran's salute they do at every show. He always thought I had the absolute coolest gigs and was likely my biggest fan. Two years ago he overcame sepsis and a stroke to wobble up the stairs onto the Hairball stage and be honored as a veteran. He passed away March 14th of this year. He was my hero and tonight everyone in Cass Lake knew and said his name. The crowd thanking his name in unison sent a chill down my spine as Brooklyn and I stood there with the flags. Photos to go along with last night's once in a lifetime experience with this incredible Canada Lynx that was scouting from a tree. This tops any wildlife encounter I have ever had. My clie is had another outstanding Superior National Forest wildlife and history adventure with me yesterday. This beautiful Canada Lynx was certainly the highlight. I have now seen well over 30 in tge last 3 years. National Geographic Canon USA

My parting gift from the 2026 Mid Summer Music Fest. The owners had me bring down a couple of moose paddles this year. We had the bands sign both of them all weekend. WARRANT, White Lion, Dorothy Collective Soul, rival_5_band Ted Poley, ≡ᴛᴏQᴜᴇ≡, Kingdom Collapse, 𝐕𝐑𝐒𝐓𝐘, Nonpoint 𝐑𝐎𝐘𝐀𝐋𝐄 𝐋𝐘𝐍𝐍, Steve Augeri, and everyone else that was here signed them. They have all signed a million guitars but not moose antlers. One is staying here in the hospitality room and the one in this photo is going home to hang in my studio.

I had a rare night off, so what did I do? Are you surprised that I went to the woods anyway? I headed out to the woods with my cousin who was in town and we spotted this beautiful Canada Lynx peeking at us through the roadside wildflowers. Another beautiful Canada Lynx sighting for us in Superior National Forest. I love moose, but the lynx are just so stinking cool. I have spotted over 30 in the last few years and I have been fortunate enough to photograph the majority of them. Sometimes wildlife presents itself to you perfectly. Although this beautiful bull moose was walking away from me this morning, I was able to backlight it with the Superior National Forest morning sunlight. You can see every detail in his coat and bell.
