This year has already been a big one. I set out in 2025 to push myself creatively and really lean into the kind of photography I love most. Today, I get to share something that means a lot to me.

This shot is called “Rooted in Paradise.” It came together after weeks of planning, countless frustrating nights of clouds and storms, and one perfect moment that made it all worth it. It’s one of my favorite captures to date, and I’m proud to finally share it.

Even bigger news: I’ve launched a website to showcase my work. This is a huge step for me. I’ll be adding new photos regularly as I travel and shoot, and for the first time, I’m also offering prints for sale.

To be honest, I wrestled with that decision. What if no one likes it? What if nothing sells? All the usual doubts. But here’s the truth: I’m doing this because it fuels me. If prints sell, great, that helps me keep going. But even if they don’t, I’m still going to share this work because I love it.

I also really dig birds, like most people during Covid I found them fascinating and myself really listening for the first time to their distinct songs. These are some of the locals here in Indiana! This year my goal is to snag a photo of a Mountain Bluebird when we are out in Montana again!

I missed yesterday but we’re back in Montana! Our trip was timed perfectly around the start of so much new life in the park. I was so giddy to see a moose calf on this trip though, they are often so elusive! Even got in on the fun, the picture of the black bear cub in the tree was from her time with the camera.

After our trip to Montana I had one more day with the lens I had rented, so I headed down to Eagle Creek and spent the morning trying to capture anything I could, turns out a squirrel was the winner for the most unique creature that day! I love this photo and the clarity that came from the 600mm F4 lens!

Last year we took a trip out to Montana and I was able to spend a lot of my time in Yellowstone. I don’t know that I ever shared many, if any, of my photos from that trip so I’m going to catch up before our trip back out this year!

The universe has been very kind to me since I bought my camera, last weekend was no exception. My goal was to snag some great photos for the while opening for but the night ended up taking another turn. Humbled to have had the opportunity to shoot Jaime’s set as well, and very happy with the results!

My first ever time photographing an ARA event was in Michigan. Made some acquaintances while I was there and when planning for my second event I found out one would be co-driving! So excited to see in the second seat!
