It was a vibrant, beautiful day.

We found a tiny square across from a church that had the cutest patio. We sat in the sun and ate and drank our way through the afternoon.

I had my camera on the table next to me and paused; noticing the bike without its owner.

I wonder if they enjoyed that day as much as I did.

Finding the answers can be difficult without knowing the question.

You have everything inside you. All of the answers, all of the tools, everything you need to navigate your path in life.

Take the time to breathe and listen. Ask yourself what you need and chances are, the answer will reveal itself to you.

If you have ever sailed, you understand what it is like to be at the mercy of something other than you.

I believe we as humans desire predictability in the form of control. It helps us prevent ourselves from pain, hurt, misery, and all of the other 'this doesn't feel good' emotions.

Relinquishing that control isn't always easy. It can be incredibly challenging. But when you are presented with an opportunity to be challenged... I encourage you to try.

Sailing challenges you. At the end of the day, the wind, water, weather.. has all of the control. There is nothing YOU can do to change it. You can try your best to interpret it, analyze it, focus on it, and just BE with it. But at the end of the day, it has nothing to do with you.

What a humbling truth.
