Everyone remember yesterdays weather in the Harbor? Remember when it was 72 degree, blue skies, and sunshine at 5pm? And then do we all remember when by 6pm it DUMPED rain!? Ya...me and this adorable family were standing in the middle of it when that happened. But by the Grace of God, we got a 25 minute pocket of no rain and we moved FAST! And boy, did it make for some gorgeously moody and beautiful images.

And I will ALWAYS be willing to compromise so that your little ones have a positive experience during a photoshoot. One thing to know when booking a session with me is this: I always meet your children exactly where they are.

If they're shy, I'll take the time to earn their trust and help them feel comfortable. If they're full of energy and giggles, I'll happily match their excitement—running through fields, making silly noises, playing games, and laughing right alongside them. We might even break a little sweat..well, let's be honest, we are DEFINITELY gonna swear Ha!

My goal has never been to create perfectly posed portraits. It's to capture the real moments—the laughter, the connection, the love, and the unique personality of each child. Those authentic moments are where the magic happens, and they're the ones you'll treasure for years to come.

I want you and your kiddos to walk away thinking I was just some silly lady with a camera that played with them ❤️

There’s something incredibly special about a large blended family finding the time to be together in one place. Coordinating schedules alone is no small feat, which makes these moments all the more meaningful. But when that family is your own, it becomes something you'll treasure forever.

The last five days have filled our home with laughter, cousins running through the yard, endless giggles, and evenings spent on the porch swing with popsicles in hand, reminiscing about old memories while making brand new ones.

At one point, I looked around and realized something that stopped me in my tracks—we're the adults now. We're creating the moments our children will one day look back on and call "the good old days." What an incredible privilege that is.

I will always be grateful that photography allows me to preserve these memories, not only for the families who trust me with their stories, but for my own as well. These photographs will become part of our family's legacy, a reminder of this season of life and the people who made it so beautiful.

This weekend—and this session in particular—filled my heart and my cup to the brim.

When your photographer delivers your gallery, please don't underestimate the impact of a simple message. Whether it's a quick, "Thank you, we love them!" or something more personal, your words mean more than you could ever imagine.

Most artists quietly battle imposter syndrome. We question ourselves, wonder if we did enough, and sometimes compare our work more than we should. While tips are always appreciated, it's your genuine words of kindness, excitement, and appreciation that carry us through those moments of doubt.

So if you've ever loved the photos someone created for you, tell them. Your message might be the very thing that reminds them why they do what they do. ❤️
