It’s a lot of time, effort, and money getting family photos taken, addressing envelopes, etc but we do it year after year to send updated photos and stay in touch. So don’t toss out your family and friend’s holiday photo cards after the new year. Bundle them together with rings and pull them out each holiday to look back and see how much everyone has changed!

I had such a fun afternoon photographing the Kelly family. I first photographed their family when their son was born. They hired me again to take photos last fall. Like the Kelly's, most of us take the time to photograph birthday celebrations, births, weddings, family vacations, the annual family photo, etc, but we forget it’s our daily activities and interactions, the laughter, and even the tears, that we want to remember most. A Day in the Life session was the perfect way to capture the everyday moments that we often take for granted.

I say this over and over again, but I just love photographing the same families year after year and seeing their children grow and change. I first took Vivianna's newborn photos, then her 1 year pics and now she's two and is going to become a big sister!!!
