If we haven’t met yet, here is a little about my story to see if I am a good fit to highlight yours:

👩‍💻 I am a designer and photographer specializing in brand development through visual storytelling.

☀️ Natural light dazzles me - which you can see in my photography style. I love getting outside, especially to hike with our dog. My office has big windows, an explosion of plants, and framed landscapes of national park views from past trips.

🐴 I grew up a horse girl and have continued regularly hacking out with friends. I don’t think I will ever get over how cool it is to work with a horse that loves their job.

🎨 Dabbling in a wide variety of creative projects keeps me fresh - from watercolors to acrylics, embroidery to quilting and quilling, carpentry to making candles…

👣 The cobbler’s children have no shoes…

…and while my clients rave about how I bring their business to life in a way that feels just right even though they didn’t have a clear vision - my brand has taken a back seat. I tend to let client work (and life in general) take precedence over showcasing my work, and there is a solid chance that’s related to discomfort around putting myself out there.

As someone who aspires to always be improving though, I want to push myself to share what it is I do for…

Painting can be both intense and a break for my brain... I love seeing .nelson.art pop up on my feed, because she is so good at taking the pressure off to make something "worthy". Instead giving us adults permission to make things that are rainbow, could have been made by a 5th grader, and done just for the heck of it.

I have an icky relationship with having a creative style... I feel this pressure to have a common thread through my work and honestly - I'm not there yet in finding what my style is exactly. And creating things that are "off brand" is hard for me, even in a season of saying I am going to explore/experiment and make space for that style to develop. So here is to sharing sketchbook pages that don't fit in a thought out body of work.

Thanks Andrea for helping us take ourselves a little less seriously-
