Eric Brumbaugh Photography

Eric Brumbaugh Photography Landscape Photographer Based Out of the Highlands of West Virginia I was using a Minolta SLR back then, but I currently shoot Canon.

Born and raised in West Virginia, I took up photography at motorsports events sometime in the early 2000's. COVID kind of forced me to switch gears from motorsports to landscapes, and I just kind of fell in love with that type of photography that it's pretty much all I do. I try to focus on the lesser known locations and the unique. I'm a big fan of the hidden gems, places that only I or a handful

of people know about. Streams are my favorite subjects to photograph, followed closely by woodland scenes. I'm a big fan of anything covered in fog as well. I do shoot a variety of scenes, however, as my tastes are pretty eclectic. I believe there should be a climate that goes from spring to fall then back to spring. I would move wherever has that in a heartbeat. I am a member of the Pocahontas County Artisans Co-Op, based out of Marlinton, WV with galleries there at the old depot on 4th Ave., and in Cass, WV just across from their train depot. I offer prints of any picture posted to my website and also of any picture you see me post here, Instagram, or VERO (username there is ericbrumbaughmkiii). If interested, send me a message through Messenger, email me at [email protected], or find me on any social media platform, however you prefer, and we will figure out shipping or arrange a pickup if you like in the Elkins, WV area. My 8x10s that are matted to an 11x14 outer size are $30, 8x12s matted to an 11x14 outer size are $35, 11x14s matted to 16x20 are $40, I can do other size prints as well, and I also can do various sizes of framed photos in addition to metal and canvas prints. You can also find my work at Scarlet & Gray in Thomas, WV, I have matted 5x7s and unmatted 8x10s there right alongside some of my Dad's work.

A few shots of Shavers Fork from May 2nd. It was kinda weird that day, depending on which direction I looked the sky was either bright blue with white puffy clouds or it looked like it would open up and just dump down all the rain.

Found all the stages of fall up in this little grove of mostly beech trees somewhere near Bear Heaven and the Bowden end of Otter Creek. This is a slightly cropped version of a 7-shot panorama, which on a phone / a social media post might not be too impressive, but still, I thought it was worth sharing nonetheless.

I got to this stream out Shavers Fork Road the other day thinking I had photographed it once before, just from the road real quickly while passing by, and so I thought I would go upstream a bit this time to check it out further. I thought it had become seriously grown-over at first. I then proceeded to make my way upstream and didn’t think about it much afterwards until I got back to the car and checked my map to estimate how much more driving I had to do before I got to Parsons when I discovered I was most certainly not at the stream I thought for the last half hour or so. No wonder I didn’t recognize it!
