It's almost 2 yrs since I've posted on my photography page. Life has had its challenges between my arthritis wrecking havoc on my joints resulting in several joint replacement surgeries, the loss of my husband due to cancer and several family situations. I have mainly been concentrating on serving at my church doing photography of our services which I thoroughly enjoy. I guess you could say it's my ministry. I have done a few sessions here and there for people and have done 3 weddings in the last year. These were close friends, so the wedding photos were my wedding gift to them. I am by no means a "wedding photographer", but I do enjoy doing them.

Anyway, I am going to start posting more photos on this page so you all can see what I have been up to. I also want to start doing paid sessions again so you will start seeing posts on this page and my personal page with information about sessions I will be offering. Most likely I will be starting with Spring/Easter sessions in March and then Mother's Day sessions in April. I still have my small studio set up in my finished basement so any sessions involving backdrops will be done at my home. I have never charged outrageous prices because I feel that with the economy that many cannot afford the high pricing and I want people to be able to get quality photos without it having to break the bank.

I look forward to sharing more of my work on this page as I try to get back into doing more personal work.

I took this couple's "engagement" photos literally 2 weeks before their wedding as the bride wanted photos for their wedding itinerary and one to display at the reception. They are not on any social media but gave me permission to post some of their engagement photos after the wedding so that family & friends didn't see them prior to the wedding. They wanted to take their photos on their farm land which is past my house and it is absolutely beautiful from the flowing wheat fields, a family cabin and amazing sunsets with the Blue Ridge Mountains as a backdrop which is also the spot where they were married. (hoping they will let me post those as well) Terry and Betsy are such a wonderful couple and just so sweet together. I just love how he adores her so much! 🥰❤️

Reidy and his lovely mommy! I was surprised we were able to finally get a few smiles out of Reidy...I guess because there were no objects for him to become obsessed with. So thankful I was able to do their first mommy & me photo session.

I still had my Easter set up in the studio so we did some of Reidy while he was here. I am telling you this one is going to be smart because he was just so inquisitive. He wanted to check out everything in the set. :) If you could only see what went on to get him to just look at me instead of the set! Brandon I will never tell the moves you have! 🤣

Oh my goodness! Reid was so adorable in his "corn" session today! It took all 3 of us to get him to look up he was so obsessed with the baby food jars of corn. His parents said corn is his favorite food so they wanted to do something fun for his photos. I am absolutely in love with these!

Love all these beautiful young ladies from my church! They are all home schooled and attended their local Home School Prom last night. They were all dressed in gorgeous dresses and braved the light rain in downtown Mt Airy for some fun photos. Oh... and then there was the handsome dude Ean with them that held all the umbrellas so they let him be in a couple of the photos. 🤣Seriously though I love him too as he has done so much for us since my husband has been sick. My church has the best young people!!

I had this sweet momma and all 7 of her kiddos in my studio this past weekend for a Mother's Day session. They definitely challenged me but we got a few great photos for my Mother's Day ad. Of course my favorite is the last photo where they are all hugging their momma! It's not perfect but so precious!

I challenge all you mommas to make sure you get photos of you with your children! It's not about getting perfect photos but making memories with them and capturing their personalities so that you have something to pass down to your children and their children, and future generations.

My first session with my Spring/Easter Studio set and I absolutely love how amazing it looks! These two precious girls were so in to their session and did a great job modeling for me as well as doing some fun shots. I was sad they told me I could not go with them to get slushies afterwards. 😂Oh well, maybe next time. 🥰

Olivia and I braved the cold temps & wind yesterday evening to take some photos of the peach blossoms at Miss Angels Farm. Considering it was around 38 degrees, she did a fantastic job modeling for me (as always). Thank you to the owner of the farm for allowing us to come take photos. I absolutely love these and will be adding Peach Blossom Sessions to my schedule next Spring.
