I often watch for animals on ridge lines as it makes for a nice clean background, but you seldom get an opportunity with a Grizzly since they're so exposed and so they're usually up and over in no time.
I spent most of the afternoon watching this mom and her two yearling cubs, pretty much to myself as she was walking through the valleys. Later in the day, she turned up on this ridge line and it was obvious she was waiting to come down and walk across the valley later in the evening. Was hoping her cubs would move out in front of her, but they remained low and hidden for the most part. I was hoping that she might come down, but didn't make a move until it started getting dark, with less of an opportunity for a photo.
