It takes all of us. & we all showed up to make this night successful. The River City Way 💪🏼🥹

7 Sounds Brewing Company stepped up & made sure we had somewhere to play! The Rivercity Baggers & Director, KB Butler, held their first Wednesday night blind draw there last night, bringing in almost 50 PLAYERS for night one! 👏🏼❤️

When you build a community, they come with you no matter WHERE you end up. & that was proven last night!

KB has put SO much time & effort into River City Baggers & continues to find ways to grow the sport in this town. It’s about so much more than throwing bags. It’s fellowship, support & a community of people who would do just about anything for one another - that means some of us lugging boards across town, showing up early for registration, supplying the speakers & microphones & making sure all of our peices fall into place - we ALL play a part in this.

Thank you, 7 Sounds Brewing Company, for being the start of something beautiful! & thank you, Mr. Butler, for always finding a way. 💪🏼❤️

Most of you know me as a photographer, & every now & then, I dabble in videos. But today, I was trusted with something COMPLETELY different. End of life videos. But not for someone who’s already gone, for someone who wants to leave pieces of themselves behind for the people they love & someone who still has SO much life left to live 💔

I let the camera roll, stepped away, & gave them the space to say what they needed to say. & honestly, I don’t even know how I’m going to feel when it comes time to edit these videos. After losing my Nana, I know how much you would give to have just one more video, one more voice recording, one more chance to hear someone you love again. I wish we had something like this from her.

Life is so unfair sometimes, & I think we forget just how precious our time really is. We’re always waiting for the right moment, the perfect picture, or a special occasion.

Take the pictures. Record the videos. Tell your people you love them. Don’t wait.

Today reminded me that what I do is about so much more than photography. It’s about preserving a piece of someone that will mean everything to the people they leave behind.

I walked into today as a photographer, but I left with a completely different perspective. ❤️
