I was looking through some older photos and ran across this one. This was the total solar eclipse of 2017. Without a doubt, this was one of the most surreal events I’ve had the opportunity to witness. The 360 degree sunset, the instant coolness in the summer air, that moment of utter awe and feeling of smallness. I was glad to have been able to capture it with my camera. This photo shows the “Baileys Beads” phase of the eclipse.
