Sweet PEPPER is looking for a forever home! Pepper is a mixed breed beauty, around 30 pounds, and three years old. She walks nicely on a leash, likes other dogs and kids, and she behaved beautifully for her portraits! All of her puppies have been adopted, so now it's Pepper's turn to find her new family. Isn't she LOVELY? She sure is, and that's her name! "Lovely" is available for adoption at Animal House Shelter in Huntley, Illinois. I had the pleasure of taking her photos - her expressive eyes and calm disposition say a lot about this sweet dog (and sidenote, she could be a dog model!). She's listed as a Bouvier des Flandres/Schnauzer mix, around 60 pounds, 4 years old, loves belly rubs, and knows sit/down/stay/come. Like a lot of dogs, she can be a little picky about which dogs she calls her friends, and she would love a calm and loving home to call her own. This is Chief, one of the happiest and luckiest puppies around! I remember Chief's grandma saying a few years ago that there would be "no more dogs". Well, we all know how that goes lol. The Elburn American Legion Post 630 and the Elburn American Legion Riders recently held its Annual Motorcycle Run, benefiting the Marine Corps Reserve's "Toys for Tots" organization. After the Toy Run, the Legion held a fun-filled Community Block Party, with food, live music, local vendors, a dunk tank, ice cream, Clydesdale horses, raffles, and more! Here's a few highlights from the Toy Run and the Community Block Party!

Many dogs love long walks in cooler weather, and I can't blame them! This wonderful family wanted to spend time outdoors with their three amazing dogs before temps got too hot.
