Dad Says He’s Done Buying Toys… 😂
At 83, Dad says it’s time to start getting rid of some of his toys.

Sounds reasonable.

Except he’s already decided what he wants next. 😂

Apparently “downsizing” has a slightly different meaning in our family.

Would you drive a three-wheeled Aptera?

Some cars become part of a family story. this Hurst belonged to Linda‘s dad, and my dad always said he’d finish restoring it one day. Life got busy. Years passed. But he never let go of that promise. I’m grateful we captured him telling the story in his own words. Sometimes the value isn’t just in the car. It’s in the memories and the people connected to it. Do you have something that’s been in your family for years because it means more than it’s worth? Follow for more real stories and family memories.

Apparently, my motorcycle is controversial. After posting a video of my 2000 Kawasaki drifter, I discovered motorcycle enthusiasts have some very strong opinions. So I dug out the original brochure. For the drifter owners, motorcycle historians, and everyone who joined the debate… Enjoy. 25 years later, I still think she’s pretty. What do you ride, and where are you from? Music by Beto Olhiver

What does it take to bring a story to life?

This is a look behind the scenes of *Pure Chance*—a project I’ve had the opportunity to help produce while documenting the journey every step of the way.

In this first behind-the-scenes reel, you’ll get a glimpse of the production, the people, and the creative process as it unfolds.

This is only Part 1. There are plenty more stories to share from the making of *Pure Chance*, including the recent article, production challenges, and moments that happened along the way.

If you’d like to see where the project is headed, the sizzle reel is available on YouTube. Find the link in the comments.

For nearly 10 years, Brigette has brought her new team members to my studio as they begin their journey with Placer Title. Today it was Annie’s turn. I love being a small part of those first days helping someone create a professional image that reflects who they are and the confidence they bring to their new role. This short behind the scenes look follows Annie through the process, from arriving at the studio and selecting her wardrobe to choosing her favorite images and heading out the door. Thank you, Brigette for your continued trust over the years and welcome to the team Annie. Some things are worth keeping.

Not because they’re expensive.
Not because they’re rare.

Because they’re connected to someone we love.

This vase belonged to my grandmother.

Today I filled it with a rose from the yard and picked plums from the tree, and it reminded me how powerful simple objects can be.

A vase.
A recipe card.
A photograph.

They become little bridges to the people who shaped us.

I keep a piece of my grandmother in my heart.

And a small piece of her in my kitchen.

Grandma, I love you. ❤️

What object instantly reminds you of someone you love?

Most photographers start by posing. I start by watching. Before I tell someone where to put their hands, how to stand, or where to look, I’m paying attention to how they naturally move. The way they sit. The way they smile. The way they cross their legs. The way they lean into a conversation. Those natural mannerisms become the foundation for authentic portraits. Because the goal isn’t to turn someone into a model. The goal is to help them look like the best version of themselves. The best poses often aren’t created. They are discovered. Have you ever noticed a habit or mannerism that feels uniquely you?
