Structure Fire - Wesley Avenue, Pleasantville

🔥 Crews arrived to Wesley Ave to find a heavy blaze and initiated an interior attack before transitioning to a defensive operation. The fire was placed under control shortly before 9:00 AM.

✅ No injuries were reported to residents or firefighters, though several residents were displaced.

On July 6, 2025, at approximately 5:30 PM, I was t-boned by a car that ran a stop sign.

My car was pushed hundreds of feet, flipped, and spun multiple times.

In the chaos of being tossed upside down, I somehow caught my phone mid-air and dialed 911-still spinning, still watching glass shatter around me. (Unknowingly, my car had already done the same and beat me to a dispatcher)

Within minutes, I was being pulled from the wreckage, treated by paramedics on the ground, staring at what was left of my Kia, as police, firefighters, EMS, and witnesses surrounded the scene.

You never think it will be you.
But when it is, the words "thank you" take on a whole new weight.

I am so deeply grateful to the Galloway Township Police Department, firefighters, and EMS for not only acting quickly but keeping me calm and cared for through it all.

To KIA: thank you for building a 2023 Sportage with a structure that did not collapse, despite a violent flip and high-speed impact. That structural integrity protected me more than I could have imagined, as I am walking away with only internal and external bruises and scrapes, but good spirits.

To the witness who stayed and spoke to me while I was trapped inside: I couldn't see you, but I heard you. And I'll never forget that comfort.

Please - drive safely. Keep your eyes on the road. It's not just your life in your hands, it's everyone else's too.

25 Years Later… A Trip Down Memory Lane 🕰️

After 25 years, St. Nicholas School alumni and teachers gathered to unearth a time capsule buried in the millennium year—2000. It was a heartwarming moment as many returned to where it all began, reconnecting with old classmates and sharing memories.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at St. Nicholas Church to celebrate this special occasion. Your presence—and your Lion pride—made it unforgettable. 🦁

Here’s to keeping the spirit of St. Nicholas alive for years to come!
