With the heaviest heart I sadly share that we lost an anchor in our family, Richie. He was a great husband, father and Grandfather. He was a one of a kind prankster and would pre-plan the most magnificent and unforgettable jokes that could make you laugh from your soul.
To know him was to love him. He spoke without fear and was a friend to all. He was the type of guy you could talk to without judgment. His goofy personality could light up a room and make anyone laugh from the pit of their soul.
He loved my mom with every breath he took and truly stood by his words of sickness and in health. He would say their life was a sitcom and they even adopted the names “Rich and Lucy”after the late night show “I love Lucy”. He names us all PIMA’s (Pain in my ass) and called us by number because that was his way of showing love and humor of being blessed to have a family of all girls and was out numbered on every occasion, until our husbands finally joined the family and he finally gained 3 sons to have a beer with by the fire pit.
He was a proud Grandfather of 9 and loved his time to be a big kid again with them. Whether he was planning for the kids play dates at home or on the board walk to play arcade games or mini golf, he never had a dull moment. My husband and I valued and cherished this chapter we had and will honor it forever.
Richie lived an adventures life and always said not to wait to enjoy life. He took cruises, visited as many beaches as he could. And made friends wherever he went. He was best know to be the wise guy who welcomed everyone to a burger and a beer. He loved a good bike ride and the salty beach air. Richie was an artist at the core sharing his talents of sketch and photography and shared a bit of his work here: .ch2541 and most of all, he loved his family.
You will forever be missed. I love you and I hope you find peace in heaven.
