Working on Sno*Drift 2025 photos - a month later - and trying not to cry while I fight to recover the bonfire alley photos.

My SD card reader is causing me so many issues - this is now the third or fourth time it has crashed/corrupted the files.

I think they are recovered now, but any advice on SD card readers for the computer or your favorite tools for the job would be appreciated!

The one you've all been waiting for (and are probably going to be disappointed about)... BONFIRE ALLEY!

Unfortunately, the location we were set up and the conditions that we were working with were not the best. With some editing magic, I have saved some of the pictures. I wish we could have gotten more but I am honestly just glad we got any!

Big props to Michael Claiborne, my partner, for his photography skills and the great job he did getting most of these Bonfire Alley pictures!

The Friday night stages of Sno*Drift were a photographic challenge. It was cold and the battery wanted to give up on my camera. It was dark, and hard to see. It was our first night out and our first stage trying to get photos... at least we still got some epic photos in between all the black screens.

Some of these photos were taken by myself, Olivia Vargo, and some were taken by my partner, Michael Claiborne. Of these, I am not sure who took what, lol.

Sno*Drift parc expose, Friday night

I didn't take as many pictures as I usually would since the lighting was not the best on Friday night and there were SO MANY spectators and community members that came out.

I was and am so excited to see all the people that showed interest and came out to see the rally. It makes me grin from ear to ear to see that there is intrigue and excitement around ARA.

I hope that it only keeps growing and the sport can too.

Sno*Drift 2024, Saturday - Stage 7
It was such a blast to take pictures of rally cars at Sno*Drift National Rally a few weeks ago. I seriously missed the rally community and the excitement of hearing a rally car coming down a stage.

This spot was a bit of a hike, and boy was it cold, but the weird winter weather made for a very uncommon race this year - one without snow. It was a great turn out this year for spectators and a great year to enjoy the rally!

A few years ago I had the immense pleasure of being able to photograph one of my favorite couples - my friends, Megan and Ezra - for their engagement. We went around the Keweenaw and found places that would be good backdrops and they let me talk them through some very fun (and funny) poses.

Being a part of their wedding was an extraordinary experience, not just because it happened during the pandemic, but also because they were the first of my friends to get married. It was so thrilling to be a part of their journey.

I am so excited for them and the new adventures that they are on (except I miss them very much and wish they were closer).
