I’ve been OUT OF OFFICE at the lake 🎣🚤 all week without solid service, but will be catching up on all my messages Sunday when I return. It’s been so nice to shut down my brain, spend some time with family, and pour into myself creatively. Business owners know how hard it is to turn off work mode, but I desperately needed this week and can’t wait to return refreshed and ready for my fall sessions! 🎉

Taylor and Ben in the most beautiful place. I am so jealous that they are steps away from this magical nature center, and also so jealous that they are quite literally the most beautiful and photogenic humans. 🌸💐🌞🌻🌼🐍🐸🐝🌿🦅☁️Also I am FULLY BOOKED for SEPT - OCT. If we have chatted dates, I will squeeze you in but I am trying hard to be very intentional about taking time for myself and my family this fall. With that being said, starting this weekend- I am OUT OF OFFICE until Sept 1st. I will still be catching up on scheduling and delivering a few more things but will not be responding to new inquiries. Fall is my busiest time and running a business while working another job, parenting mostly solo, and trying to show up for myself/friends/family is difficult during the fall. I want to pour everything I have into making the best images for my clients and so this time off is imperative. I love you guys so much 🤍

It’s world breastfeeding week and I’ve been meaning to take some photos nursing my very last baby- but I’ve been putting it off. I made a lot of excuses, but truthfully I put it off because my body has changed so much that I cannot not fixate on the extra weight or saggy skin, which feels so silly for someone who’s spent many many hours convincing mom’s to get in the frame just as they are because life won’t wait for you to lose the weight, or get the perfect haircut, or whatever it is that you feel insecure about. 40 years from now, your children won’t look back at photos with you and think “wow, I really wish mom didn’t have such a wrinkly forehead”. Women are incredible. This body has carried me around for 33 years, grown and birthed 3 humans, known heartbreak, pushed through pain, experienced joy, and fed my babies. It’s a little rusty sometimes, but dang, what a privilege to be able to grow and stretch with life. Happy world breastfeeding week 🤍

Bet you were wondering, “Kami, are you still behind on editing” and the answer would be “yes”. But the good news is that after nearly 10 years of dutifully serving me, my MacBook Pro crossed the rainbow bridge 😅 and I’ve managed to secure a new one for only the sale of my firstborn child. Man, I love being an adult. 🙃🙃🙃 anyways- I have 3 weddings and two portrait sessions about to head out, and a much faster device that’s making all the time consuming bits much easier. Love ya’all!

Holly & Matt 🤍💍 A real trust-the-process moment when I took them out to the alley behind a strip mall for bridal portraits 😅 I’ve been working into the wee hours of the morning to perfect and get edits out after a crazy two months. Almost to the finish line! I’ll be taking a week or two off during August just to get on top of everything before fall- so just a heads up that if you’re thinking about booking a shoot in the fall- Now’s the time to start planning that!

K + S 🤍 Had so much fun watching these two laugh together. I went to school with K and feel super honored to be trusted to capture their love. You know when you meet two people and you just KNOW they have so much fun in life together- that’s these two lovely humans! I am truly the luckiest human to be able to witness this kind of connection over and over again. 🤍

Not my normal content- but for Mother’s Day, my partner had some of my old rolls of film developed. Definitely didn’t know what I was doing with film but found this treasure of my oldest when he was just a tiny thing🥹 I am so grateful for what photography has given me- and so grateful to be able to look back at my babies in all stages of life.
