I think I’ll continue this ‘my full-time job photographing my children’s activities’ series!
This one is extra special. A couple weeks ago was an end of an era for our family. For many reasons, including a restructuring of age groups, Milo’s long-term select soccer team FC Edmonds Charge” ⚡️had its very last game. It was the end of an era for Andrew as a coach (for now) and Milo after years and years playing soccer with a great crew of boys and families. Andrew has been coaching several of them even since preschool days! So I will shout out both Milo and Andrew in this post!
First Andrew, my kids have no idea how lucky they are to have a dad so dedicated and involved in their activities of life. This was definitely a sad and hard day for Andrew, but he also took it in with all of the gratitude for all the time he has spent coaching all three kids. Anyone who has had Andrew as a Coach knows that he is a quiet teacher and gets his points across without having to yell or belittle the kids. Youth Sports was lucky to have him!
For Milo, this will be the last day on this team, but definitely not his last day playing soccer. This kid has grown so much over the years and is a true leader on the team being voted captain by his teammates every single year by landslide! He has such an amazing understanding of the game and, just like his dad, kindly coaches his teammates from the field.
One thing I keep learning over and over lately is that in parenting everything is a phase and a stage or an era and any of those eras can be done forever faster than you think!
