This session is proof that you can break all the styling rules if you do so with intentionality. That you can change things up and not do every family session the same as your last. And that some seasons of life are easier because of it. Better to take the photos than allow some part of it to overwhelm you so much you skip them altogether.

Some of you may remember I shared this model session application not long ago. I actually chose both an outdoor and in-studio family so you’ll see me share another cozy session soon. I want you to know that all the families who applied were amazing and made my decision so hard! Ultimately, my choices are based on things that aren’t personal such as ages of kids, an all boy family or older kids - sometimes I don’t know exactly what I’m looking for until I see it. A fall session with the most darling family. And I have to brag on Aimun. She styled this session impeccably with colors I love to photograph and even more - that edit beautifully. Neutrals, textures, patterns and warm earth colors! I include lots of color details in my Style Guide that I know work well with my editing style and she nailed it! As a full-time resident and owner of , she has taken many photos around town so we shot in new spots for both her and for me, which was a lot of fun! The Boardwalk is probably my most photographed location, but there’s so many photo worthy spots around Carlton Landing - in every season!

I don’t share near enough sports photos but spring sports are just around the corner! Sports sessions are limited - schedule or not, this is definitely the time to reach out. I wasn’t able to take on any in the fall because family sessions kept me so busy but I’d love to help your team create memories of these kids doing what they love best. P.S. Can anyone guess what city these were taken? One of the prettiest youth baseball fields I’ve shot! And yes, a baseball field can be pretty 🤩

A beautiful extended family session. I love that mom thought to bring a football and baseball to create some special memories with cousins and grandpa. It could be sports or board games or a picnic. The possibilities are endless.

For sharing my name with a friend or writing a kind review. I count myself lucky to have met so many amazing people through this work. Telling your stories through my lens is and will always be an honor. I’m passionate about turning something so many dread into a JOYFUL experience - where little boys have fun, little girls feel special, dad feels valued and mom feels beautiful.
