Wendie Smith Photography I live on Edisto Island SC and do pet & studio portraits. I can make prints & digital files from film negatives, artwork etc. I can restore most photographs.

I bake & design custom wedding & special occasion cakes, cookies & much more. I LOVE what I do! My long term goal was to have my own small business in photography. Although through 2003 I worked for others, I have been a photographer professionally all my life. I love what I do here on Edisto. I love working with people be it a wedding, a surprise vow renewal or recreating a cake from way back wh

en. I aim to please and make others happy that they chose my services. I started out as a microscopist but always did weddings, portraits, documentary, travel photography as well as fine art exhibitions and shows. I moved to the Charleston SC area because a microscope sales job brought me here. On a lark, I submitted some of my abstract microscopic images to the Dock Street Theater which at the time had a space for artists to display their works for periods of 4-6 weeks. To my complete surprise, I was chosen for a 6 week showing during Spoletto. Once I "retired" from sales I was able to start my own business here on Edisto shooting wedding, beach and location portraits, some commercial and real estate and for the Edisto Chamber of Commerce for their website and many ads in various media where they advertise. I started doing cakes after I did my own wedding cake in 2003....everyone encouraged me to add that to my resume....the rest is history.
