As everyone is aware, the businesses downtown have been impacted by the recent traffic circle construction on Washington Street. I am understanding and sympathetic to the hardship this has caused many local businesses. I have appreciation and respect for all small business owners, as I know what it takes to both start and maintain a business in a small community.
Being that this is a small close-knit community, it's been brought to my attention that there have been recent videos posted to Facebook from another local business that makes negative comments about the decision I have made to designate parking for my employees behind my place of business. This decision was not made lightly, but was necessary in order to provide a safe, secure location for my employees and salon stylists that is within close proximity to Ashley Latham Photography. I understand how these decisions may cause frustration to some, however, sometimes as a small business owner, you have to make tough calls. Enforcing towing of unauthorized vehicles on our property, is the only way I can ensure that this area stays accessible and safe for my employees.
I encourage everyone now, more than ever, to patronize ALL of our local downtown businesses. We need to come together during this tough time and build each other up. As always, communication is key and I welcome discussion if anyone has questions or concerns.
