If you hate being the center of attention but still want your day to flow smoothly, then pay attention 👇
Look, I get it. You’re not the “look at me” type. The thought of everyone staring at you all day makes you want to crawl into a hole. But you still want your wedding to be amazing.
Here’s how to make it work:
1. Schedule a first look
Gets the big emotional moment out of the way with just you two (and me hiding in a corner with my camera). Way less pressure than walking down the aisle with 150 people watching.
2. Keep your bridal party small
Fewer people = less chaos during getting ready. You don’t need 10 bridesmaids. Your closest 2-3 people? Perfect.
3. Do photos before the ceremony
I know, I know… tradition says wait. But getting photos done early means you can actually ENJOY cocktail hour instead of being pulled away for an hour of portraits while everyone else parties.
4. Create “escape moments”
Build in 10-15 minute breaks throughout the day. Step outside, grab some air, decompress with your partner. I’ll capture a few candid shots and leave you alone.
5. Skip traditions that don’t feel like you
Bouquet toss? Garter removal? If it makes you cringe, don’t do it. Your wedding, your rules.
6. Communicate with your photographer (hi, that’s me)
Tell me you’re uncomfortable being the center of attention. I’ll work around you, capture candid moments, and make posed photos quick and painless.
If you want a photographer who gets it and won’t make you feel awkward all day, let’s chat! Reach out through my website or through Instagram direct message 🤍
