21 YEARS!! 📷

Back when I started photography, I kept my film in a cooler on hot days like today... I had zero clue what I was doing, but I got paid $75 for a ten hour wedding. I suffered heat stroke, felt like death, but boy, when I handed the photos to my clients and they cried with joy... I cried with joy. 😅

This year I have ten weddings, countless family and senior sessions, and it feels so good to be back. I've recently made investments in my gear and it's made such a difference in how I'm able to capture my clients greatest memories.

Days like today, when I'm celebrating the business I started 21 years ago, I think about so many crazy things that have happened. Clients who have become like family, and family who have become strangers because when you build a business, it becomes everything you are. It's what puts food on the table, it's what sends you on vacation capturing weddings in Mexico, it's what brings you to the hospital at 2am helping capture a new life coming into the world. I'm grateful for every start, every stop, every moment.

I'm at a point in my life that my children are basically grown. I find myself reflecting back during a family session when the babies are crying and no one will listen... to look at Mom and Dad and say..."these are the days." I feel so lucky to relive some of these moments with them that so quickly bring me back to when mine were little.

Life is fleeting, life is good. Thank you to everyone who has asked me to come on your journey and capture it along the way. It truly means more to me than you'll ever know.

It always warms my heart when my littlest clients let me hold them… this little guy helped me take some smokin’ photos of his Mom and Dad, all the while I got my baby fix ❤️
