Our Story

At Nellie Quiros Photography & Design we believe that every person is made up of perfect imperfections and it is just that which dazzles and delights those around you. My intention as a portrait artist is to strengthen, or perhaps awaken your sense of individuality, confidence and charm, giving you a glimpse of how others see you.

Whether it’s a Head Shot, Family or a Beauty Portrait, my mission is the same, no matter your age, build or style.

You may be thinking, ugh... “I don’t look good in pictures!” “I am not photogenic at all!” “I hate having my picture taken!” Yes, yes I know all too well about those thoughts, you see, I’ve been there too.

My portraits are beautiful reminders of how those who love me, see me. When I admire portraits of my family on my walls, they exude love. With that end in mind, I anticipate the melody that fulfills my soul and inspires me. “Is that really me!” “Wow, I look so good!” “You make me feel so beautiful!”, “Who is that handsome guy?” Yes, that is music to my ears! We accomplish this amazing transformation by designing a photo shoot just for You.

It all begins with a phone call so we can learn the basics about each other and make sure we are a good fit. Most times we are a perfect match! Once you secure your session date with the retainer, the real fun starts. We will also get you on our calendar for your Style & Discovery date and for your Wall Art & Album Delivery date. Before your photo shoot begins I will know all your favorite things and we will use as many of your senses as possible to assure you feel ravishing during your session!

Our time together during your Style & Discovery date is very important. It is during this time that I learn what makes you, You. We will get together at your place or mine. I like to visit you in your space when possible to go over all the details. I learn your style and also have the opportunity at this time to help you with your 3-5 clothing selections. My desire is to make the process as easy for you as possible, I don’t want you to worry about a thing.

Your photo session can last between one and five hours, depending on the vision we’ve decided will suit you best. You will have a professional makeup artist prime a “camera ready” look for you while you relax and enjoy your favorite nibbles and libations, this is all complimentary. We can be particular with our hair styles, so we ask you arrive with your hair how you like it and can be tweaked to perfection, if necessary. Then it’s lights, camera, action! I will direct your every move so no need to worry about not knowing what to do or how to pose. Our team will watch for any refinements to hair, makeup and wardrobe during the entire process. We want you to enjoy yourself and allow us to pamper and encourage you while in our care.

Once we are done with your photo shoot, while you gather your belongings, I will quickly prepare your images for viewing. If time is an issue we can make it another date but this is your opportunity to place your order. I will help you with your selection of images for your order of Albums, Wall Art and Print Folios, a full resolution digital image is included with every image purchased. You can expect to spend anywhere from $500 - $20,000. It is my calling to provide you with a vast selection of images from which to choose from and to deliver heirloom products that will remind you daily of your loveliness and worth.
