Boulders Bolts!!!
A goal of mine for the last 5-6 years has been to get the Boulder Flatirons hit with a big CG. Sunday night that goal was achieved with this incredible CG striking right on the side of the Flatirons lighting up the nearby foothills. I was positioned near Longmont with a 200mm zoom lens and had these peaks centered in frame hoping for a home run! What I ended with was a grand slam!!! What a wild shot!!! The other bolts were in addition to what I saw that night! Pretty awesome Monsoon/synoptic event for September standards!!!

Structure/Tornado Combos!!!
One of my main goals every year is to photograph supercell structure with ongoing tornadoes. I normally position to storms in the "mid-range" category to allow you to be just far enough away to see the entire storms structure and also see the tornado clearly. One of the best shots you can get of a storm is its entire structure paired up with a tornado, and if your lucky enough, catching a lightning bolt to take it up a notch!!! Featured are by best structure/tornado photographs!

From the Archives!!!
This structure fest was a GREAT chase back in 2018. Nebraska always seems to be king when it comes to both structure AND highly photogenic storms. Year after year it produces some of the most remarkable storms, which is why its my second favorite state to chase in, behind Colorado. Featured here was yet another example of that as a higher based supercell tracked across the Nebraska Sandhills giving way to very impressive structure and some crazy sunset colors! Even into the night the storm layered up with an impressive glowing shelf!

Colorful Supercell!
Have you ever seen colors like this in a storm?? The hail/rain cores of this supercell glowed in a deep blue and green color! Its a sign of likely BIG hail within the storm! Colorado sure can produce some wild storms!
