Happy New Year! I know we’re a couple weeks into 2024, but it’s been an incredibly busy year already for my family. I wanted to take a moment to share my very last session of 2023.

These were taken on New Years Eve. It was cold, but the sky was showing off a bit. I’ve known the Smith family for over 10 years now. My husband grew up with the Smith boys and was neighbors with them, and he’s shared many stories over the years of some of their shenanigans from when they were little. Now they like to take the kids out duck and goose hunting together and I think it’s pretty awesome that our kids now do some of the same things together my husband grew up doing with them.

Cheers to 2024, may it be a kinder year for all. 🤍

As the leaves start to paint the world in hues of red and gold, I can't help but fall in love with this season all over again! 🍂🍁 The crisp air, cozy sweaters, and pumpkin spice everything – it's officially that time of the year! 🎃✨

✨ Capturing Moments and Chasing Sunsets ✨

Feeling so grateful to have had the opportunity to photograph this sweet family during a magical sunset. 🌅✨ There's something truly special about the golden hour, where the sun bathes everything in its warm glow, creating a mesmerizing backdrop for beautiful memories.

But let me tell you, editing my sessions lately has been quite the journey! 😅 I have been having a serious case of identity crises, constantly second-guessing myself and experimenting with different editing styles. The struggle has been real, my friends!

In the end, I realized that the beauty of this family lies not just in the perfection of the final image, but in the genuine love and connection they share. No amount of editing can capture that essence completely.

Remember, it's okay to have moments of uncertainty in our creative journeys. It's these challenges that help us grow and discover new aspects of ourselves. Plus, it's a reminder that authenticity is key, both behind the lens and in life.

Summer mini sessions! 20 minute time slots, 15 edited images. Limited dates and times available! Payment due upon booking. Mini sessions can not be used for extended family photo sessions due to the time constraint.

This sweet family had the most perfect weather and lighting and skies for their session! And with all the crazy rain and weather we’ve had lately, I’m so glad we had such a gorgeous, rain free evening for their photos.

Summertime is my favorite time. I’ll be posting a sign up for summer mini sessions at this location, so be on the lookout for that later today!
