Being a photographer has always been one of the greatest joys of my life, but until this week, I had never fully realized the weight that a photograph can carry.
This week, I had the privilege of honoring these three young men by sharing their story on CBS. Years ago, I stood on the sidelines photographing their baseball and football games and wrestling matches, never imagining that those images would one day become treasured memories for the people who loved them most.
Photography has always been about preserving moments, but experiences like this remind me that it also preserves legacies. A single photograph can hold a smile, a moment of determination, a celebration, or a piece of someoneās story long after theyāre gone.
I am incredibly grateful that I was able to capture these moments and provide something that their families, friends, teammates, and our community can hold close as we grieve such an unimaginable loss. While it is heartbreaking that these photographs now carry a different meaning, it is an honor to know they can help tell the story of three lives that made a lasting impact on so many.
My heart is with the families of these boys, their loved ones, and the entire Eaton community. May we continue to remember them not only through our grief, but through the joy, laughter, passion, and memories they shared with all of us.
