A perfect Eastern Shore evening with Kristen, Tom, and their four-legged sidekick, Gunner. We explored the beautiful grounds of Inn at Perry Cabin in St. Michaels, Maryland, capturing the places they love most together. From a waterfront picnic and sailboat views to sunset snuggles and plenty of attention for Gunner, this session felt relaxed, joyful, and completely true to them. These are the kinds of sessions I love most—real moments, lots of laughter, and including the family members with four paws.

Ten favorites from Louisa & Steve’s incredible Oxford, Maryland wedding. From arriving by Hinckley yacht and Morgan 3 Wheeler to celebrating at their waterfront home surrounded by family and friends, every part of this day reflected their personalities and love of entertaining. Their "Garden Party Fabulous" vision came to life with stunning florals, an oyster bar, tequila and bourbon bars, lounge seating overlooking the water, fresh cannolis, wood-fired pizza, and countless thoughtful details. More than anything, it was a celebration filled with laughter, great stories, and the kind of joy that comes from bringing all of your favorite people together in one beautiful place. What a privilege it was to document this unforgettable day on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

One of my favorite parts of family photography is getting to document a family's story wherever their adventures take them. The Provost family has set an incredible goal of visiting all 50 states with their children, and this stop brought them to Maryland and the beautiful Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels. Between exploring the waterfront, enjoying time together, and making memories along the Chesapeake Bay, it was the perfect setting to capture this chapter of their journey!

Wedding receptions are such a huge part of wedding photography and often make up nearly half of a wedding day’s coverage. Once the sun goes down, the ability to truly document the energy of a reception comes down to understanding flash, anticipating moments before they happen, and knowing how to balance movement, light, emotion, and atmosphere all at once.

Nancy & Pierce’s Tidewater Inn reception was packed from start to finish with nonstop dancing, huge reactions, crowded dance circles, and one unforgettable “Dancing Queen” moment with all of Nancy’s favorite girls surrounding her on the dance floor. These are the moments couples remember forever, and capturing them well is just as important as photographing the ceremony or portraits earlier in the day.

A Chesapeake Bay proposal aboard Epiphany, champagne toasts on the water, and the sweetest reactions from Lila after Logan asked her to marry him! From sailing beneath colorful sails to cozy moments aboard the catamaran and waterfront portraits in St. Michaels, this proposal session with St. Michaels Sailing Charters was such a fun and unforgettable evening on the water. And yes… that green diamond engagement ring was absolutely stunning.

Golden hour, sandy toes, belly laughs, and the kind of family moments kids will remember forever. I’ve been lucky enough to travel to Delaware each year to photograph the Hayes family, and watching Eleanor and Teddy grow through these sessions has been so special. This evening at James Farm Ecological Preserve in Ocean View, Delaware was filled with playful sibling moments, sunset snuggles, hammock swings in the sand, puppy kisses, and the kind of genuine joy that makes family photography so meaningful!

From a classic Catholic ceremony in St. Michaels to portraits around the Tidewater Inn and one packed dance floor, Nancy & Pierce’s wedding day was full of timeless Eastern Shore charm and so much joy. These are a few favorite moments from their celebration featuring soft blue and white details, a velvet blue dinner jacket, a vintage Mustang getaway car, and the sweetest “Dancing Queen” surprise on the dance floor surrounded by all of Nancy’s favorite people.
