I will walk right by the canvas on the easel in the middle of my living room and look at this painting from this picture. It gives me a fresh perspective and it also gives me a degree of separation. So many times I will feel stuck or try figuring out what it is I don't love about a painting or why something isn't working or just give it a few days to see if I'm done. I have to do this with every single painting I do. Inevitably, something sticks out that I want to change. And most often it's something that absolutely no one else would see. But I will. And that's where I am on this one. I feel pretty pleased but I'm just wondering how I'll feel tomorrow.
