17 years young and still snacking like a champ. Honestly I attribute Cook’s longevity to her mixed breed genetics, regular (and regulated) exercise and nutrition.
She is fast af. Surefooted (unless it’s dark). And devours her food and treats.
Sure, she makes weird, opera sounds. Has lost about 5 incisors naturally and has had a few molars removed. Her eyes are cloudy when you catch her staring you down for no reason. But she’s a rock steady little creeper and I just love sharing these sugary years with her. 🤍

Calling all misfits, oddballs and weirdos - HI 👋🏼 THERE!

Lauren here, with Luna and Cookie, bringing quirks galore to the Midwest and every where we go. On the topic of bringing something everywhere we go, I’m one of those beverage goblins (IYKYK). At all times I have a drink in tow, usually water, coupled with a coffee (cold brew please) and something sparkling (tart flavors are my fave).

On the road to everywhere I usually travel in the green cars I’ve bought over the years. Why green? Idk. It has never been a conscious choice but I’ve had a teal green Cavalier, celery green Sentra and now my green dream machine Mini.

Other noteworthy quirks include being a texturally driven eater. Growing up I refused to eat runny eggs, cereal with milk, and anything with less than chewy-worthy substance. As I get older I’m coming around to cereal with milk and eggs over easy (but needs to be over a bed of crunchy veg). Also crawling into a bed with clean sheets is one of the my top 3 feelings ever. Nothing compares.

We’re thrilled to be part of this team with fellow oddballs, in a green car with Michelle at the wheel.

We love chasing golden hour and epic views as much as the next person. But what you don’t really see on our feed, is how our home is truly a special place to us. 🏡
I’m a super introvert. I recharge by spending time alone (with the girls). I love my quiet time. I’m sensitive to noises and sound, sensory overload is far too real. I’ve been this way my whole life.
Being home means I’m safe.
Being home means routine.
Being home means I’m comfy and my truest self.
For our fifth and final entry, I wanted to showcase our home life. Because it’s a place where special memories are made too. Whether it’s sharing a snack outside or spending a rainy day on the couch, home is absolutely where my heart is. 🫶🏼

I had planned on writing something about reflections or looking out to look inward for this post.
Instead I’m choosing to embrace this JAM and channel 17 year old Lauren. That bish who had her eyebrow, labret and Monroe pierced. She wore trucker hats and went to really questionable concert venues. And she waited in line to get standing room as close to the stage as she could.
This Something Corporate album still does something to me. IDGAF how emo I was and probably still am, 20 years later.

It’s our first spring in our new home, our garden is full of surprises and I’m loving every second of it!
Our hydrangeas, peonies and lilacs have all started to show signs of green too! 🌱 Here’s hoping everyone fares through this incoming snow and frost today into tomorrow 🤞🏼

Monday night we got out for our first sunset sit of the season. It felt good as hecc! The Midwest has seen some really above average temps lately. I don’t love it. My heart hurts for the planet. Thankfully normal temps will resume next week.

Ganshik - Korean for snack or refreshment
has quickly become a staple in our home, for both Cookie AND Luna. Opening our hearts to giant breed dogs, nutrition and weight maintenance is always top of mind. These gentle giants can easily tip the scale when activity stops, when they have too many snacks, like so many other breeds. I trust the quality, portions, variety and real life application Little Ganshik offers us.
These wild Argentinian pink shrimp 🦐 are Luna’s top choice! Big dogs need little snacks too. ✌🏼
