🌵 Cycloptic Tree Guardian & Majestic Cacti Concept: The Indoor Reel Exhibit ✨

What it is everybody, Big Fig here! Step inside the studio footprint to witness Artifact 2 of 7 captured in smooth, continuous motion.

Spinning effortlessly on a custom 12-inch base against my stained-wood studio wall, this masterwork brings a raw desert-forest fantasy crossroads to life. Look closely at the towering chestnut-brown tree-spirit guardian leaning proudly back with its doweled, protruding eyes and ground-hugging surface roots.

Circling the perimeter is a protected and resourceful family of 5 green cacti with flame rising from their heads, sitting alongside hand-primed, vibrant Amazonian plants and 6 highlighted real rocks.

Hand-sculpted with a Mora Precision knife and engineered with zero small holes for seamless damp-paintbrush dusting over potential lifetimes.

🌵 The Cycloptic Tree Guardian & The Majestic Cacti Concept: The Indoor Exhibit Area ✨

What it is everybody, Big Fig here! Welcome into the studio for an intimate look at the second masterwork inside the artifact vault. Slide through these 9 glare-free photos to study the deep, unvarnished details of an entirely original fantasy ecosystem.

Positioned in the dead center of the frame against the rich grain of my stained-wood wall is a massive, chestnut-brown cycloptic tree-spirit guardian. It stands tall with a proud, slight backward lean, its protruding doweled eyes perfectly matching a wide, friendly, smiling mouth while its realistic surface roots hug the terrain naturally.

Guarding the perimeter is a protected and resourceful family of 5 green cacti—featuring Big Papa, Momma, and three tiny children hand-carved with my Mora Precision knife—each bearing an amazed open mouth and a pillar of bright fire rising from their heads. To shatter all normal color rules, I installed 3 exotic Amazonian plants (two dark red with purple highlights, one green with blue highlights) primed with specialized glue layers so the vibrant paint permanently fuses for lifetimes. The whole mini-world sits on rich brown soil and green grass, anchored by 6 hand-highlighted real rocks.

Engineered sturdily with zero small holes for seamless damp-paintbrush dusting over potential generations.

Please Note: This piece is currently held for permanent non-commercial exhibition display to test the waters and expand local reachability. Future portfolio drops coming every Friday!

🍄 A SUBTERRANEAN MYSTERY AND THE GROVE’S BOMB FLOWER VAULT ✨

What’s up everybody, Big Fig here! Welcome back to my master collection rollout. Today, I am incredibly proud to showcase a unique artifact from my den—a highly intricate, 9-inch whimsical world that marks a massive step in my personal and creative evolution.

This 5-pound sculpture contains an entire living ecosystem born from diverse, hand-selected elements of nature. The massive centerpiece mushroom was salvaged from a local residential pruning job. The background grove features hand-selected pinecones taken from a majestic forest tree, which I thoroughly processed, calcified, and transformed using an industrial-strength bonding method to stand completely permanent.

An Explosion of Animated Color & Detail:

In the 6 studio photos attached—captured cleanly against my stained wood backdrop and black base—you can see the full structural depth. The dominant mushroom features a dark red cap subtly wiped with beige, a light beige stalk with a hint of blue, and prominent dark grey borders framing its expressive, protruding brown eyes and circular mouth. It features a highly animated mouth filled with squarish, white, whimsical teeth.

Navigating this landscape is my very first hand-sculpted serpent—finished in a bold, cartoonish purple with a dark red wiggly tongue and vibrant, protruding yellow eyes. Perched nearby is a highly detailed, sage-colored frog-cricket hybrid featuring striking dark chrome eyes and sharp silver nails.

Pure Creative Invention:

I wanted this scene to feel like an ancient fantasy discovery, so I invented "Bomb Flowers" out of the calcified pinecone trees, capping them with dark blue flower bombs and hand-crafted grey wicks, complete with a golden ooze running down their bodies. The entire scene rests on a dual-layer floor that I engineered by fossilizing coarse sand. The top layer displays rich, dark brown soil sitting seamlessly over vibrant blue deep flowing water, accented by a cluster of beige and grey hand-carved wooden rocks.

Overcoming the Intricate Hurdles:

This piece represents a series of massive artistic breakthroughs for me. It was my first time ever attempting to sculpt a reptile or a complex, tedious insect texture. Successfully engineering the stability of the heavy 5-pound base, pulling off the life-like gaze of the eyes, and bringing the completely original bomb-flower concept to life was a breath-giving experience. Like all my artifacts, it stands firmly on custom-crafted legs at the base where my signature initials are permanently carved into the wood. More posts and cinematic reels showcasing the other unique pieces in my collection are coming very soon, so stay tuned!

🌲 MEET THE ARTIST: WALKING A NEW PATH IN THE POCONOS ✨

Hi everyone, my name is Big Fig! I am an aspiring, friendly local artist and content creator based right here in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. I am stepping out of my shell to share my passion for nature, storytelling, and craftsmanship with our community.

For years, I have worked hard-working, dedicated hours in local employment. But like many professional workers, I’ve often felt undervalued in the standard hourly grid. I am focused on a personal evolution—developing my independent art and online presence into a path that truly rewards my work ethic, dedication, and unique creative bone.

My art relies on a deep respect for our earth, practicing what I call mindful forestry conservation architecture. I hike our local woods to find weak, struggling branches or small trees growing in compromised positions where their roots are actively choking out massive, oxygen-producing forest giants. By mindfully removing the smaller tree, I help the forest giant thrive while rescuing premium, strong live wood.

I spend months upon months slowly curing, hand-painting, and matte-coating these eco-rescued hardwoods into 11-inch whimsical sculptures. I create magical tree spirits, friendly mushrooms, and cacti with highly expressive eyes and mouths. While I keep the secrets of my carving process private, I look forward to sharing my journey, my forest foraging, and my detailed painting process with you. Each piece carries a heavy, raw slice of the Poconos soul and is built to last for generations.

I am also launching my YouTube channel, Nature's Art Den, to document this creative path. Thank you to my friends, family, and neighbors for supporting my journey.
