So, went to lunch at Dulcet and Delish Cafe and while sitting outside with my computer working on the last spread illustration on "Frikka Frog's Rainy Day Parade" (a new series of children's books I wrote and am illustrating), a family with 6 little kids sat at the large table next to me.

Got up some courage and asked if they would be willing to let me read the story and show the illustrations to them (finished all but 1 and the cover). The mom loved the idea of some random dude reading kids a story. LOL, jk! All but one of the kids loved it (5 out of 6 kids and a few parents isn't bad!), asked and answered questions and told me what they liked the most. Success! Looking forward to publishing soon!

Turns out they own a local business with a kid's area. Hoping to do a few test readings there to get a better handle on any tweaks before it goes to publishing :)

I have a credit of 50 digital versions with the publisher. Would anyone like to get a free digital copy when available in exchange for a review when it's launched officially?

I am sad to say, clix kids will be closing it's doors here in NY in the next few months. We all have enjoyed building new tools and creating new opportunities for the schools in our area. We loved the studio sessions, the family/baby/newborn portraits and the craziness of school portraits. We loved watching the kids grow from preschool up through Middle School. But the time has come -

However, the good news is, although we are closing the doors in NY a new opportunity to build in North Carolina opens the door to delivering our award winning service to Charlotte and the surrounding areas! Also, our very talented photographers are available to take care of your photography needs here on Long Island. Email us and we can put you in touch.

Don't worry. All images will remain on our servers and you can order at any time! The clix kids website is currently saying "unsafe." That is not true. Don't be afraid to click to the site. However, all links to images posted right here on Facebook will work fine too. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected].

After having to chase down my delivery for 2 weeks when it was sent to the old studio and finding it at a local liquor store who collects the undeliverable mail and packages for the plaza (who knew?), JAE class pictures are finally dropped off! Whew! If you didn't get them today, they will definitely go to the teachers for distribution tomorrow.

If you are virtual please call the school to get them. If by chance, you ordered home delivery and it went to the school please let me know and either they can send or we will pick them up and send ourselves.

Just a quick update. The free class pictures are now password protected. We are sorry for any inconvenience. But because the privacy of the students are our utmost concern, and at the school's request we have implemented some strict security measures. For those that ordered digital downloads, your full resolution FJC class picture (JAE coming this week) is now available as well. Please go to http://downloads.clixkids.com and enter your student ID and email. If by chance you are one of the few that ordered and your download was not in the database please email us at [email protected] with the student's name and teacher, and we will email it out to you.

Class pictures for FJC are printing right now and should be on their way this week. JAE's should be out to the teachers for approval early this week as well.

All digital downloads are now posted and updated. If you ordered either a package that includes a digital download or just the stand alone they are can be found at: http://downloads.clixkids.com or right on our homepage.
