“The tale of two Photos”

Since we are limited this NFL season and my full photo crew is unable to be on the field. I have to take chances at times to capture specific images during the game.

First photo: As I stayed down field to get some images of the our QB dropping back to pass, on the first play Jimmy G. hands of the ball to Raheem Mostert and he takes it to the house for an 80 yard TD. So I missed the entire play. As I was out of position ! 😬

Second photo: This image is when you are in the right position and the TD by Jordan Reed comes right directly in front of you. 👍🏽

“Road Trip”

First road travel in the Covid-19 era. We are heading out on a 10 day road trip to play back to back games against the NY Jets on Sunday, then next week we play the NY Giants.

Let’s go up close and take a look at a few details for 49ers training as the players prepare for the 2020 season. But in a pandemic / Covid-19 environment I am not able to get really that close but using my zoom lens and post production cropping I was able to create these images.

Behind the Shot

As we start this year 49ers training camp for the start of the 2020 NFL season. Things are a bit different since we are in a world-wide pandemic.

This season I will be shooting with Canon’s flagship 1DX Mark III and adding to my equipment the new EOS R5 mirrorless camera. During camp I’ve been using a verity EF lenses and RF lenses with the RF Control Mount Adapter.

I wanted to just share these two images shot from the practice field end zone. Also, by using the EOS R5 in camera custom functions Please review the specs on all of the details.

“Media Day”

As I head into the 2020 NFL Training Camp with the San Francisco 49ers. One of my first task after returning to the 49ers facilities was to setup for our network media day photo session.

I wanted to just share a few of my favorite closeup detail player portraits. As we had to add a few of these to our overall shot list.

I am a BLACK MAN!....I build....I don’t tear down other BLACK MEN! I have felt the pain of being torn down and I have decided I will be deliberate about building others. All too often we men find it easier to criticize each other instead of building each other up. With all the negativity going around let’s do something positive!!
