Nerd alert!
In 1986, I lost my first Father figure when Optimus Prime died in-
The Transformers: The Movie. I decided to recreate one of the most iconic shots from the movie, of Optimus transforming into robot mode, leaping into the air and putting the smack down on some unlucky Decepticons; moments before his fateful demise.
I used a reference pic from the movie, set up a mini studio outside and precariously balanced him on a stand to get the correct pose and angle. I also used a picture I took of a mountain in Colorado, and used a cloud brush in Photoshop to make the background! I brought all of these elements together to make MY version of this classic scene!
