It happened again. As I work through the photos I took yesterday, one stops me in my tracks. It's gorgeous. It's perfect. I had such a great time last night up at Uncle John's Cider Mill with this family. We picked flowers. We took photos. We chased butterflies. It really was the perfect setting to create amazing senior portraits. Here's A's sneak peek. And I love them!!

Today, I shot my fifth senior session in 6 days! It was such a pleasant session too. The weather wasn't nearly as hot as it has been and the cloud cover was just about perfect! I did the last 2 seniors at the MSU Children's Gardens and yesterday there was a cake in the park event. Luckily, today was pretty empty and we had most of the park and gardens to ourselves. The flowers are spectacular right now and we had quite a few butterflies interested in our senior! I really enjoyed today's session and I hope they like their sneak peek.

As a photographer, I cherish every opportunity to meet people and their loved ones. Today, I had a set of seniors who are twins. In 2019, I also photographed them during the Santa at Troppo event I used to shoot. How amazing it is to have them come back to me after all these years so I can create their final year of high school images! Here is D & O's sneak peek from today. We shot at Frances Park for just over an hour, with multiple outfit changes and multiple poses with multiple seniors! haha. I wish I didn't melt in this weather but it was still a great time!

The senior portrait bookings are really coming in! Here's some basic information to help parents with all these decisions:
• Yearbook images are due by a specific day.
• It usually takes a week after our session to turn in a yearbook photo
• I have worked with every school district in the Greater Lansing area
• Most schools allow for outdoor yearbook photos
• There are professional edits required for yearbook photos
• I enjoy helping parents through this process

I saw my orthopedic surgeon today about my shoulder and he thinks surgery isn't necessary! I'd been a little reluctant to schedule into the fall because I might need 6 weeks to recover, but I don't! So I'm free to schedule! It's time to schedule your favorite sessions in my favorite season! Booking senior portraits, family, back to school photos, business headshots, maternity, engagement, couples, kids, sunflowers, golden hour. I'm so excited! Just be gently on the Hi-5s please.

I'm so excited to share these amazing images! I just got their model release form which means I get to share a Sneak Peek! This was another hour senior session, on location, with multiple outfit changes. Our location was Fenner Nature Center! It's so gorgeous there. She wanted meadows and we got meadows!

I was just reading through my 517 Business Magazine and found an article about one of my clients! https://517mag.com/the-barn-run-running-for-a-greater.../
I've been to their home a handful of times and it's a beautiful place. I'll link their Barn Run registration in the comments. They are hosting a 5k on their property and along the Red Cedar River to benefit the St. Louis Center in Chelsea, Mi.

The race will take place Oct. 18.
