The second video I created for Filth and Foul, was for a song off a side project by Nickbusy and Mc Unknown titled Throwbacks From The Future.
The song is titled "Cross My Heart" and after listening to it I started to come up with a vision in my head for what it was going to look like. I kept picturing the two of them walking through downtown Bozeman. We decided to try a few spots and were able to capture a shot of them walking directly at the camera through the sidewalks of downtown. We filmed in the middle of the day with lots of people walking around, so capturing an uninterrupted walking shot was not easy. Luckily we had some friends with us and they jumped in to help clear the way and keep me safe while I walked backwards blindly in front filming. We also found a great spot at the top of a parking garage and were able to get another couple of takes up there.
Putting together the edit was not nearly as intense as cutting together the 360 video I had previously done. This time I was able to focus on cutting together the multiple takes from downtown and finish the video off with the shots from the top of the parking garage to create a clean finished product.
I am happy with how the final video turned out and feel like it did a solid job matching the energy of the song. Once again I learned and grew a lot while creating this video.

In anticipation of my friends Filth and Foul releasing their next video, I thought it would be fun to share the previous two I had the pleasure of creating for them and give a little insight into what went into making them.

The first video was for a song of their's titled
"Space N' Time"
This was my first attempt at creating a music video using a 360 camera. Filming it was the easy part, since it was all done in one room using static shots. The apartment itself and this room in-particular had become a well known spot for many over the years. The walls covered with flyers from years upon years of local shows proudly hung as a reminder of the hard work, love and dedication these guys have for Hip Hop and sharing it with their community. Nickbusy was in the midst of moving out and closing the door on this chapter so the room was completely cleared out except the memories that hung on the walls. It proved to be the perfect place to shoot, with lyrics like "I need time and space, I need space and time" what would be more fitting than a empty square bedroom with nothing but years of memories hung all around.
Funny side note, while filming this video only Nick could be in the room so I would press record and then leave the room. We would wait for him to tell us he was ready and then we would proceed to blasted the song on a stereo from the kitchen.
After filming I went home and pulled up the footage on my computer to see what I had captured. This is when I quickly realized just what I had gotten myself into. Since this was 360 video, it had captured the whole room from all angles and it could be watched from an endless amount of points of view. I now had to decide what this video was going to look like and create every shot from scratch. This was by far the most intense video editing I had ever done and it took an incredible amount of time and focus to complete.
In the end, the finished product is nothing short of a piece of art, a one of a kind video that I believe captures the spirit of the song and is fun to watch. I had fun and learned a ton while making this video and with out a doubt grew a lot as an editor in the process.

This is a video highlighting the current development of the Moose Ridge Condominiums in Big Sky Montana. This development is being built by Yukon Construction. The Condos are located directly West overlooking Big Sky's beautiful town center and meadow village.
