An Ode to My Trees

If you need to know anything about me, my trees on our property are almost as loved as my children. I spend time with them, I get energy from them, I talk to them, I touch them, and I name them. This summer we had to remove three trees that were getting old and needing to go as we worked on the addition to our home. I did not prepare myself for how much I would miss them.

So I decided to show how fall looks in a different way than usual, by showing off all my trees at once. This photo reminds me of the seasons of life. How everything goes in a circle, especially nature. I want to live my life like my trees. Never resisting the next season to come. Being able to bend as the wind blows but not breaking. Learning to love all the colors I go through allowing life to flow through me. To be grounded. To my trees, I love you.
