The Bristol Police Department would like to remind residents and visitors that a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) will be in effect over portions of Bristol during the Town's Fourth of July festivities.
Effective July 4, 2026, from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM EDT, all unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), commonly known as drones, are prohibited within a 2-nautical-mile radius of downtown Bristol from the surface up to 400 feet AGL.
This restriction has been issued by the FAA to help protect large public gatherings and ensure the safety of spectators, participants, first responders, and aircraft operating in the area.
⚠️ Drone operators are reminded that flying within the restricted area during the effective times is prohibited unless specifically authorized for operational, safety, security, or compliance oversight purposes.
📍 Restriction Area:
• 2 NM radius around downtown Bristol
• Surface to 400 feet AGL
• Effective: July 4, 2026, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM EDT
