The Elizabeth Islands are a chain of small islands that run southwest between Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard. The islands separate Buzzard's Bay and Vineyard Sound, and they are a boater's paradise with anchorages and peaceful coves. Cuttyhunk is the western-most island in the chain, and it's the only one with a year-round community and amenities for visitors. I was lucky enough to catch the hydrangeas at their peak, and it was truly a lovely stay!

Menemsha is a fishing village in the town of Chilmark on Martha's Vineyard. It is an interesting place to say the least! There is an almost palpable air of mystery throughout with a sense of longing for days gone by. I am a fan of the Asian art form called Wabi Sabi, which-loosely translated-means 'formerly beautiful', so this place speaks to me as an artist.
